Commission Pricing
I am currently available for commission work. I will paint from any game range. If you are interested in having some work done or simply want more information please send me an e-mail with your request. I only take on a few projects at a time and work on a first come first serve basis. If I am currently full I can put you on a waiting list. You can guarantee your spot by putting down a $20 deposit ($20 will be deducted from first half of commission). Paying customers will have priority on the list.
I am now offering 3 levels of painting. I have added a Tournament Legal quality for the budget minded individuals. I get a lot of e-mail inquiry about painting up large armies that just aren’t price feasible at a high gaming standard for most people. Well I am now proud to say I have a solution for you:
Tournament Legal Quality: Up to 3 colors painted on your army. I will paint in rudimentary details such as skin tone, belts, etc. Shading and highlighting are kept at a bare minimum where needed. Usually ink washes to darken. All the figures will still receive 2 coats of Krylon Crystal Clear Non-Yellowing Varnish and 2 coats of Testors Dullcote or other flat varnish. Open faced figured will get a dark shade to the eyes. This will be neat and tidy and pleasing to look at on the game table amongst the masses of your army.
High Gaming Standard: Models will be painted to a high gaming standard. Highlights and shading will be done as necessary. Details will be picked out as well. This is my usual standard and examples can be found in the commission gallery. If examined closely they will have much more detail on them than Tournament Legal Quality figures.
Display Quality Standard: With display quality figures I take high gaming standard figures to the next level. Highlights and shadows are taken to the next step. Paint is blended much smoother, and attention to details is paramount. Freehand and other decorative elements can be put in place as seen fit. I spend the time it takes to do the figure right. I don’t cut any corners.
Please see what others have said about my painting here!
The base price is for an unconverted miniature painted to the level you specify (i.e. Tournament Legal, High Gaming, or Display Quality). There is an additional fee for cleaning and assembly and for basing other than simple sand/rock. Sand/rock basing is included free with each miniature. Please see pricing guidelines below for more details. All figures also receive 2 coats of Krylon Crystal Clear Non-yellowing Varnish and 2 Coats of Testors Dullcote or other flat varnish as part of the base cost.
You can reserve a spot for commission by making a down payment of $20 or the first full payment (left to your discretion). If you put down $20 it will be subtracted from the amount due on your first payment. The $20 down payment is non-refundable if you decide to cancel the commission.

I am also willing to accept trades for partial credit on painting. This is left to my discretion usually no more than 50% of the commission price. I usually work on a 2 for 1 exchange up to the 50% mark. Vehicles I will do a 1/1 trade for minus any cleaning/assembly costs. For example you send me 2 figures and I will paint you 1. Currently I am interested in Space Marines, demons, Witch Hunters, Fantasy Chaos, and any blood bowl stuff. If you have interesting bitz I might be willing to work something out as well. If you are interested please ask for more details.
Payment:
Payment for the work is done in a 2 part process. First payment of 50% plus cost of any needed supplies (such as the miniatures, conversion material, etc.) is due before work is started. The last 50% plus shipping/handling fees is due upon completion of the figure.
I accept PayPal, Money Orders, personal checks or cash. (Personal checks will be subject to a delay until check clears - usually 10 days. Send cash at your own risk. I will not be responsible for payments lost in the mail). PayPal is probably the most safe and quick method of payment. There will be a 2.9% + $.30 charge on domestic PayPal fees and a 3.9% + $.30 charge on international PayPal fees applied to payments made by PayPal. This can be paid in the second payment when the figure is done.
The process:
I like to work all details out up front before any commitment is made. I have always worked in customer service and feel that clear communication is the key to provided world class service.
First step is real easy. All you need to do is send me an e-mail notifying me that you are interested in having some commission work done. Please be as detailed as you can in regards to what you want. This will help me more accurately get a price back to you. I will get a bid price back to you no later than 24 hours of receiving your e-mail. If this price is acceptable to you we can further work out any details (color, basing, conversions, etc.)
Next you will either send me the figure(s) and 50% down payment or I will provide the materials for you with 50% down plus the cost of materials. Materials are bought at retail price. If you send me pre-assembled pre-primed pieces I will gladly factor that into the price and give you a discount. Also I usually work in a discount on large orders and definitely on repeat business.
I will then get to work on your figure(s). I provide WIP pictures as I am working on your project as well as send you a status report. I would expect at least 1 status report a week until completion - usually even more. This lets you follow my progress and allows for any corrections and changes to be made before the figure is finished. When I am finished I will send you some final pictures in the last status update and if you are happy with the results we will call the project done. After you have agreed to the final paintjob the 2nd half of the payment is made. I will then ship your models to you.
Shipping and Handling:
Shipping and handling is $5.00 for most single items. Larger items and international will pay actual shipping costs. I ship Priority Mail (US only) or whichever international service you would like. This does not include Insurance or delivery confirmation - if you would like this please let me know. Once the package is mailed I am no longer responsible for it - I have never had a problem with mailing any packages but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen - I encourage you to purchase the insurance. All figures will be individually bagged and wrapped for durable shipping. I have received numerous kudos for my packaging methods.
